Unique mix of Italian and Mexican flavors in this hole in the wall spot. Wasn't sure how I'd like the Al pastor pizza - turns out it was pretty darn good. The service was a little slow as only one person was working when we were there in the mid afternoon. Food came out quickly and prices are reasonable.

One of the best burritos I've have in Philly. The pizza is top notch too. Highly recommend this place.

The urge to gate keep this place is so strong but if you want to have great food, service and experience come to tonalli.

We've eaten in and done takeout over 5 times. The food is always very good. The Mexican food is good. The Mexican inspired pizzas are good. The traditional pizzas are good. I haven't had a thing on their menu that has failed to impress. Last visit we noted that the menu has expanded. New pies and entrees. The couple we tried were terrific. We love this neighborhood byob. Enrique provides great service.

Visited a quaint little Mexican joint on a Saturday evening. Surprisingly empty, but the ambiance was unpretentiously cozy, enhanced by the amiable maitre D. The culinary journey began with an outstanding pico de gallo, striking a harmonious balance between acidity and savoriness. Moving on, the taco de Pollo was a revelation with its succulent dark meat, generously loaded and flawlessly cooked. The tortillas were notably chewy and tasted freshly made. Concluding, this eatery is a hidden gem for high-quality Mexican cuisine, offering a delightful dining experience.

The lamb was cooked to perfection. The chicken quesadilla was delicious everything was perfectly seasoned! and the customers service was amazing

Everything was awesome-- especially the lamb pizza and flautas special. Kind service, too! We'll be back!

Those tacos were excellent. Seared chicken yum. Everything tasted so fresh. We'll definitely be back to this cute little spot!

Great spot for Taco Tuesday because they have $3 per chicken and al pastor tacos. Each taco has one small soft tortilla with good amount of fresh al pastor meat. The guacamole portion wasn't big and wasn't really fresh either because I saw some brown parts. Good location at the corner with plenty parking spots underneath I 95. Before I left I asked the meaning of Tonalli because I couldn't find a translation with my Spanishdict app. I was told that it means sunshine in an old Mexican dialect.
